
Youth Programs of the St. Louis Chapter of BDPA
Our youth program builds on solid youth development principles, with an emphasis on those areas of development and program components that support youth STEM leadership. It is vital that superior organizations have superior leaders. Yet broadly skilled leaders are in short supply. Most organizations need a vigorous and deliberate way to improve the skills of supervisors, managers, and executives. They need leadership development. This course will sharpen and cultivate the leader within you, better your communication skills, learn how to influence others while developing the leader within you. Progress and advance professionally through this course. Enjoy an open coaching forum which promotes healthy conversation and stimulates thought.
National High School Computer Competition (HSCC) Programs
HSCC is designed to introduce our Youth to the field of Information Technology, encourage them to seek higher levels of education, and groom many of them to become our next generation of IT professionals.
Information Technology (IT) Showcase
The Information Technology (IT) Showcase allows student presenters from educational institutions across the United States, to present and demonstrate their research. The presentations represent advanced computing and technical topics presented by college and high school students.
Mobile App Showcase
The Mobile App Showcase allows student application developers the opportunity to participate in a competition that allows them to an opportunity to test their talents against others and develop a working, functional mobile application.
Scholarships
BDPA St. Louis Chapter currently offers scholarships to qualified students studying technology related curricula at institutions of higher learning. The Association also sponsors scholarships to promote professionalism and the advancement of careers for technology professionals.
